With plans in place for a new outdoor entertaining area, Gavin saw the opportunity to take a coordinated approach, pairing his Custom Stratco Outback Cooldek with a purpose built shed designed to sit alongside it.
The goal was simple: make sure both structures worked together across the site. That meant getting the balance right between appearance, practicality, and long-term durability. The shed also needed to deliver solid storage capacity with a wide span design, while still tying in visually with the rest of the space.
Gavin engaged Paul and the All Sheds teams to deliver both the Stratco Outback Cooldek Flat Roof and the shed, giving him a single team to manage the full project from start to finish.
The shed was quoted in December 2024 and approved in January 2025, aligning neatly with the broader build timeline. By running both projects in parallel, we were able to keep things moving efficiently across planning, materials, and installation.
The shed was designed at 12m x 9m x 2.2m with a 5-degree skillion roof, engineered for a strong wide span structure without compromising performance and strength.
Key specifications included:
- Fully bolted 200 x 100 main frame columns and rafters
- Corrugated Colorbond Steel roof sheeting in Monument
- 5 Rib Colorbond Steel wall cladding in Monument
- Gutters and barges in Monument
- 90mm PVC downpipes
- Bay sizes of 6380mm and 5300mm
To support everyday use, the design also included:
- 1 x 820W x 2040H personal access door
- 2 x 2300H x 4500W roller doors, including one being automatic
For added comfort year round, 4mm Aircell insulation was installed to both the roof and walls.
Both the shed and Stratco Outback Cooldek Flat Roof were built at the same time, with completion in August 2025.
The finished result is a clean, cohesive setup where both structures sit seamlessly together. The Monument colour scheme ties everything in visually, while the wide span skillion roof shed delivers the practical storage space Gavin needed.
By managing both builds side by side, the project ran more efficiently and maintained a consistent standard from start to finish, showing the value of having one experienced team handle the full scope.
Gavin’s project is a strong example of how a coordinated build approach can simplify delivery and create a more unified outcome overall.
